The certificate is administered by the area of Music .

Consists of 12 credits.

Choose at least 12 credits from the following:

MUED 651 - Pedagogy of Rhythm Credits: 3
MUS 515 - Orchestration Credits: 2 or 3
MUS 516 - Choral Arranging Credits: 3
MUS 592 - Analytical History of Jazz Improvisation Credits: 2 or 3
MUS 610 - Form and Analysis I Credits: 3
MUS 613 - Schenkerian Analysis Credits: 3
MUS 615 - Contemporary Music Theory for Music Teachers Credits: 3
MUS 640 - Pedagogy of Music Theory Credits: 3
MUS 655 - Analysis, Interpretation, and Performance Credits: 3
MUS 779 - Artist Course in Applied Music - Composition Credits: 2 or 4 (a maximum of 4 credits may be applied to the Music Theory Graduate Certificate)
